After consulting with the public, the Forest Service has determined that the following river values are outstandingly remarkable for the Fossil Creek Wild and Scenic River:

• Recreation,
• Geology,
• Fish and aquatic resources,
• Wildlife,
• History and Traditional Cultural Uses
• Water.
